Small Group Experiences
We are exciting to announce we are partnering with a new Hunter Valley startup Dulili Adventures (or Dulili.co) in bringing together small groups of people for off-grid glamping and local experiences or ‘adventures’. These experiences are not your every day tour they are usually highly unique and otherwise unavailable.
Each experience is highly personalised based on a discussion with the group initiator.
Little Valley Farm is excited to host the people in our accommodation including tents for small groups which you can’t otherwise book in other channels. The train and Hut are also available as you will have the run of the farm. We help feed people including BBQ’s and the always enjoyable wood-fired pizza.
Dulili.co recently took a corporate group to a local animal farm charity to help build them a new animal shelter! That was hard work but really fun, but it can be anything from 4WD touring to walking the Great North Walk or going for a Gravel ride to the Watagans.

Alpaca Farm Open Day - Little Valley Farm, Hunter Valley
Come join us on the Hunter Valleys most beautiful Alpaca Farm.
As a breeding farm it is only open a few times a year and this November will be the first to welcome children of all ages.
Little Valley Farm is a AAA registered breeder of Huacaya and Suri Alpacas with between 20 and 40 Alpaca on the farm at any one time.
Set on 50 lush acres (in the good times!) in a natural amphitheatre surrounded by an abundance of native birds and animals. Read more about our exclusive open day on our Facebook page and purchase your tickets here.
~~ Plant a Tree for every visitor stay ~~
We plant trees all the time, for food, for the garden and to replenish our future timber needs on our 50 acre farm. But we also want to plant a tree for every visitor stay, as a way to remember all the great people who have stayed with us and also to ensure that every single visit to our off-grid farm is carbon neutral. The tree we plant we will sequest approx 10x more carbon over Its lifetime than the average 2-day visit & and overnight stay. Help us plant the tree and we’ll be proudly putting your name on it too.
Using Carbon Neutral Aust estimate of 15 trees to sequestered 1 ton per year. Carbon Footprint calculator for an average two day stay travel from Sydney in an average petrol car. There is of course high variability and extensive assumptions made in this rough figure.

Shearing Day 2019 for alpaca owners in the valley
We have confirmed our shearing day of 19th October, 2019 with Drew Shearman.
If you would like your alpacas sheared on this day please ensure the following;
Visit Drew’s website and book in your date. He will be coming to Laguna-Cessnock area on 19th October so if you are on this route, please contact him now before his time slots book out. https://www.shearmanlivestock.com.au
Confirm costs with Drew including any additional services such as your annual 5:1 vaccinations, worming and nail trimming.
Have a small alpaca enclosure ready. Ensure Drew is not chasing the alpacas on the day. This will result in additional cost (and stress) to you, the alpacas and will also delay Drew in his back to back farm visits. So be prepared!
Ensure you have cash to pay Drew on the day. He can always invoice you later.
Once the alpacas have been shorn, keep them out of the hot sun for a couple of days to avoid sun burn.
Keep your fleece, use the saddle for felting, spinning or making cushion infills. Use the scrappy leg fleece as garden mulch.
Rain or hail we shear so make sure you have some decent undercover for Drew and his equipment.
The Alpaca Nursery
Book your four person farmstay with us and get close up and personal with the alpacas. There are some very inquisitive little cria’s running around the paddocks right now.
At night we keep them safe and warm in our alpaca nursery with mum and listen to them humming away.
Visit our website www.littlevalleyfarm.com.au to book your farmstay via AirBnB.
Discover a world of Little Valley Farm
